BA will fly direct to Marrakech

Marrakech is the latest addition to British Airways Gatwick short haul leisure network.
BA plan to offer this service three times a week: departing Gatwick on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, returning the same evening. The aircrafts used will be a mixture of Boeing 737’s and the Airbus 319, with Club Europe and Euro Traveller cabins available onboard.
Services are planned to start summer 2011, with the first flight leaving London Gatwick on Sunday 27th March 2011 at 13:05 (local), arriving in Marrakech 15:35 (local). The return flight leaves Marrakech at 16:20 (local), arriving back at Gatwick at 20:55 (local) on Sunday 27th March 2011.
Marrakech is primarily seen as a cultural destination offering an alternative to the mass-market beach resorts around Agadir. Recent investment in luxury accommodation has meant the premium hotel sector in Marrakech has been growing at a phenomenal pace. With Raffles, Intercontinental and Four Seasons resorts all planning to open new five star hotels in the city, these direct flights could be a great offering by BA.
