Olympics: Forman’s Fish Island
Our World | On 08, Mar 2012
My first exposure to anything Olympic related and what an amazing experience.
We organised an Awards lunch for 110 guests at Forman’s Fish Island. Forman’s is a 4th generation family owned salmon smoker and happens to be a venue with the most amazing views of the Olympic Stadium.
Not only do they have the most enviable Olympic location, their catering is truly, truly amazing. I encourage everyone to visit and taste for yourself the delights on offer. As suppliers of smoked and fresh fish to the likes of The House of Lords, Marco Pierre White, Fortnum and Mason and The Dorchester, I really shouldn’t have expected anything less.
For this event, we hired the first floor for a welcome reception followed by activities, lunch and an Awards ceremony on the second floor.
The versatile space lends itself perfectly for any Olympic style celebration, with photo opportunities of the stadium as the backdrop in abundance. A famous Olympic celebrity provided the after lunch speech for our event which the audience thoroughly enjoyed.
In summary, with a smart theme, clever Olympic colour lighting and a meal fit for royalty every guest went home delighted. A very good day had by all.
